The Magic Box.
I will put in the box,
the glittery magic of the first rainbow,
a sound of the sea’s waves splashing on the sand,
the taste of a blue lollipop for the first time.
I will put in the box,
the last spell of a fairy,
and the laugh of a hyena.
The sound of a sky-blue waterfall.
I will put in the box,
a song from a school singing,
the twirl of a wedding dress,
the taste of Turkish delight.
I will put in the box,
a breeze swaying the leaves,
an eighth colour of a rainbow,
the smell of melted chocolate.
My box is fashioned from mist, blood and time,
with happiness on the lid and tears in the corners.
Its hinges are the hooves of a baby horse.
I will ride on my box,
on a leaf like a butterfly,
the wind will carry me,
into different places of magical colours to see.
