To commemorate National Poetry Day, the prize-giving for the Festival Poetry Competition will be held, with selected entries being read by the poets. At interludes during the readings there will be performances by the Devizes-based Serendipity Bell Quartet. The Quartet use 2 octaves of English bells cast at Whitechapel Bell Foundry. Their performances will demonstrate the versatility of the hand bell which was first created at Aldbourne in Wiltshire about 350 years ago.
