In what has become an annual event, Calne’s community focussed comprehensive school will once again deliver an eclectic mix of music at lunchtime. With A level and GCSE Music students performing, this is an event that will provide The John Bentley School’s talented musicians with a valuable performing opportunity.

Event 19 - A Musical Journey

7.30pm - Marden House - Admission £8 (£6 Friends; £1 Child)

Peter Grant, bass baritone, and Michelle Sheridan-Grant, soprano, return to the Calne Music and Arts Festival for a third recital but this year they will be joined by the tenor Elliot Goldie and mezzo soprano Dervla Goldie both artists from the Royal Opera, Covent Garden. There will be well loved items from the world of Opera, Operetta and Musical Theatre with some other favourite tunes thrown in. Peter and Elliot have performed as Scottish duo Goldie and Grant for many years and this will be the first time they have performed together in Peter’s hometown of Calne. Be it Bizet, Puccini, Lehar, Rodgers and Hammerstein or the songs of Scotland or Ireland, there is sure to be something to please everyone in this varied programme.
