Calne Music and Arts Festival 2017

A welcome from the President

This year, as last, we hope to welcome our Patron Judith Weir Master of the Queen’s Music to one of the Festival events. The Committee have worked tirelessly throughout the year to put together a programme of music of all genres, art, photography and poetry which reflects the wealth of local talent and involves the many organisations in the town – Calne Choral, Calne Jazz Club, Calne Camera club and Calne Artist’s Group among others. The Codas, free concerts beginning at 9.30pm after the main concert, continue to highlight local performers and are, for many, a relaxing end to the day.

As well as tickets being available from the Box Office at Bank House, opposite the Town Hall, they can also be obtained, without any booking fee, online at, as well as by phone on 0333 666 3366.

Many thanks go to Chilvester Financial Planning who have become our main sponsor. Sponsorship has also come from other local companies for specific days or events. We are indeed most grateful to all of these for showing their commitment to promoting the Festival to the wider community and to recognising the local aspect of our ethos towards the Arts.

We are always keen to welcome new ‘Friends’ so please spread the word among friends, neighbours and newcomers to the town. We very much look forward to sharing with you this wealth of music and art and hope that you will enjoy the quality and diversity of the events planned.
