22 - Bonfire Radicals

7.30pm - Marden House - Admission £8 (Friends free; £1 children)

Katie Stevens grew up in Calne and attended The John Bentley School, before following her love of the clarinet to Cardiff University and later to the Birmingham Conservatoire. It was here that she became interested in folk music and joined together with five friends to form the Bonfire Radicals. The band weave together Eastern European inspired woodwind with refined medieval recorder lines, traditional Scottish fiddle with electric bass, guitar and global percussion for a highly-spirited stage show. This concert is part of an autumn tour to promote their first album ‘The Albino Peacock’.
