9 - Recital by Marlborough College

12.15pm Lunchtime - Marden House - Admission £3 (Friends free; £1 children)

From 2008 onwards the Festival has hosted musicians selected from the 30 Music Scholars of Marlborough College. This dynamic group of highly skilled young players, many of whom are members of the National Youth Orchestra, will present an instrumental programme of both solo and chamber repertoire.


10 - Kennet Accordion Orchestra

7.30pm - Marden House - Admission £7 (£5 Friends; £1 children)

The Kennet Accordion Orchestra formed in 1984 has established itself as a popular entertainment group, performing a wide repertoire of music ranging from Mozart to Queen, and winning numerous national and international accordion competitions. A majority of the arrangements you will hear have been prepared by their Musical Director, Nigel Pasby, who is a qualified accordion teacher, examiner and adjudicator for the National Accordion Organisation. Their performance will surprise and change people's perception of the accordion.


11 - Calne Larks

9.30pm CODA - Marden House - Admission Free

Calne Larks are a community choir which started three years ago as a lunchtime choir for council and office workers, but since then our membership has increased. They sing for pleasure and welcome anyone who would like to join them for an hour of singing at midday on Thursdays in the Town Hall.
