28 - Dance Workshops

Xpression StreetDance are holding a variety of workshops in different dance styles throughout the day.

Are you or your children interested in trying out ‘Streetdance’? Come along to our adult and chidlren’s workshops (children from age 7) being held at the Town Hall. Beginners very welcome! If ‘Street dance’ isn’t your thing - why not try out our other dance styles with our established dance companies. Among these will be:

• Latin and Ballroom workshops with 4 Stars Dance.
• Ballet workshops with Fitzgraham Academy.
• Belly dancing workshops with the Sahara Sisters!

The full list will be available on line and at the Box Office. Booking is essential. A mini variety performance given by the Company’s own dancers will be held in the Town Hall at 5.30pm. Entry is free and open to all.

 

29 - ABRSM High Scorers Concerts

3:00pm - Marden House - Admission £3 (Friends free, £1 children)

 

Local music students
The ABRSM is the UK’s leading exam board for instrumental music. Their exams support achievement and progression by providing goals and recognition. You will hear a variety of instruments played by students of varying ages, from those just starting out on their musical journey and others further along the way as we celebrate with local candidates who have achieved high marks in recent ABRSM examinations. Prizes for the Children’s Art Exhibition will be presented at this event.

 

30 - Singchronize Choir

7:30pm - Town Hall - Admission £7 (£5 Friends, children free)

Singchronize was formed in Calne in 2010 to give the town an inclusive contemporary choir that would sing modern songs with a twist. The choir has performed frequently ever since throughout Wiltshire and further afield for a multitude of concerts and festivals. Singchronize members love to create rich harmonies and enjoy getting their teeth into original four or five part arrangements of songs ranging from 1960s hits to recent chart toppers... so sit back and enjoy!

Festival Club - Marden House

The wine bar at Marden House  is open before evening events and for interval drinks. Coffee and cakes are also available on weekday evenings after the main event, but owing to licensing laws we shall be unable to serve alcoholic drinks on the Monday evening. Light lunches are served following the weekday lunchtime concerts in Marden House. Why not also come and enjoy a late Coda event in a relaxed atmosphere.
