An evening with David White and friends

In an evening of happy memories, David White, the founder and Music Director of the Festival from its start until 1989, remembers the early years of the Festival. He brings together some of the people that forged the Festival, both musicians and artists, including Judith Weir, who is now Master of the Queen’s Music and our Festival Patron.

He will celebrate the extraordinary achievements, the innovative planning, the people, and the events that were part of the Festival from the very beginning, with conversation, music and surprise guests.

CODA with David White

9:00pm CODA - Marden House - Admission Free

Following on from the  40 Years  of the Calne Music & Arts Festival  event there will be an opportunity to enjoy some light hearted piano duets played by David White and Bethany Lowe while you enjoy a glass of wine or a coffee and maybe share your own memories of the early days of the festival, or just sit back and enjoy the music.

The wine bar at Marden House  is open before evening events and for interval drinks. Coffee and cakes are also available on weekday evenings after the main event, but owing to licensing laws we shall be unable to serve alcoholic drinks on the Monday evening. Light lunches are served following the weekday lunchtime concerts in Marden House. Why not also come and enjoy a late Coda event in a relaxed atmosphere.
