Gordon Burns - Art Director

Every year the open Art Exhibition displays an ever expanding range of high quality artworks making the art exhibition at Marden House one of the key highlights of the Festival. If you are a local artist and have never exhibited with us but would like to do so please contact us for further details ( We love to welcome new artists, especially among the younger artists in Calne. Art students are especially encouraged to participate.

In addition to the Open Art Exhibition we have a delightful display of artworks created by the primary school children of Calne and surrounding villages at the local library, a digital image competition and photography by Calne Woodlands Camera Club.

The plan for a Short Film competition is still under discussion and if you have a keen interest and want to be involved please get in touch.

Local artists also participate in an Open Studios programme which is a great chance to meet local artists and experience their work in a more intimate environment. I encourage you all to get out there and visit them in their studios. See details in the brochure and on the website.

I hope you all enjoy the creative arts represented in the Festival this year.
