Recital and Poetry Reading

The

capabilities of this magnificent organ. At
interludes in the recital selected entries
from the Festival Poetry Competition will be
read by their writers.

The
earlier start time is to allow for the

arrive and take a seat after the start if
necessary.

The
Helicon Ensemble

After
a ‘rest’ last year we welcome back the

Festival Music Adviser, Simon Parker, Simon
Trentham (cello) and Gilmour Macleod
(piano). Their exciting programme will
include John Ireland’s Trio in D Minor - a newly
published work which was only heard twice in
the composer’s life time. A rare

of music full of English charm!
