View and Opening of Festival
|
|
The
Exhibition and Festival will be opened by
Lt.Gen.Sir Peter Beale, familiar to many of
our Festival- goers as the conductor of the
Avebury Vocal Ensemble, formerly known as
NUBISS, who gave such a brilliant
performance in last year’s Festival. A
Cambridge choral scholar, Peter trained as a
medical doctor culminating in a career
leading to senior medical officer of the
British Armed Forces for which he was
knighted. Wherever he served and when the
care of his patients allowed, he formed,
conducted and took part in choirs. For many
years he has lived in Avebury.

|
|
Music
to accompany the evening will be provided by
the inimitable James Harpham on piano
accompanied by Dorian Sutton on double bass.
|
|
Open
only to patrons, sponsors and exhibiting
artists. Please bring your invitation with
you for a complimentary glass of wine.
